Welcome to the Somerville High School Alumni Homepage sponsored by Somerville High School and the Somerville High School Scholarship Foundation. Through this site we aim to strengthen the bonds of the SHS community by providing important updates, honoring the achievements of our alumni through inspiring stories, assisting alumni with opportunities to engage in the SHS Community, and fostering the spirit of SHS pride & belonging that unites us all. We hope to make this your go to place for all alumni related resources.
SHS Alumni Newsletter
To help share important updates and inspiring stories Somerville High School and the Somerville High School Scholarship Foundation are proud to announce the formation of the Somerville High School Alumni Newsletter. The newsletter will contain sections such as School and Athletics Updates, Alumni & Staff Highlights and Spotlights, Class Reunion and Contact Information, In Memoriam, Volunteer Opportunities, Contributing the the Somerville High School Scholarship Foundation, and more.
The Somerville High School Alumni Newsletter will be published semi-annually in December/January and May/June. We are certain you classmates and former teachers would enjoy hearing what you’ve been up to. Please let us know by completing this form with two to three sentences on your recent achievement, accomplishment, or life highlight: SHS Newsletter Highlight Submission If you would like to be considered for a more extensive “Spotlight” please share your recent bio and achievement/highlight with us via email to shssfoundation@gmail.com. Please include “Spotlight” in the email subject line, along with your name, year of graduation, a 1-2 paragraph bio with your achievement or highlight, and a picture in the body of the email. We’ll select three or four spotlights of this length for each newsletter.

SHS Class of 1976 Reunion, Friday, May 29. This includes two parts: the SHS Class Day portion at 8:00 AM at SHS and the Class of 1976 Reunion Committee portion at Avellino’s located at 313 Mystic Ave, Medford starting at 1:00 PM. How to Volunteer
There are also many ways to get involved by volunteering in programs such as Somerville High School Volunteers, Somerville High School's First Gen Mentoring Program, First Robotics, CTE Co-Op Programs, CTE Advisory Boards, Multilingual Multicultural Learning, Enroot, and many other programs. SHSSF
The Somerville High School Scholarship Foundation (SHSSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation established with the express intent of distributing scholarships to Somerville's public school graduates. Founded in 1990, the Foundation's board of directors is strictly composed of volunteers. Directors are current and former school administrators, headmasters/principals, teachers, students, elected officials, and members of the community. The Foundation works closely with the high school counseling department in coordinating the annual SHS Scholarship Night. This year’s SHS Scholarship Night will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
The SHSSF actively seeks donations from individuals, corporations and estates who wish to further the mission of providing funds to graduating SHS seniors. Please consider giving in memory of a loved one or to the STAR (Staff and Teacher Alumni Recognition) Scholarship in recognition of a teacher who impacted your life (please include STAR and the staff member name in the memo/subject line) . SHSSF's Annual $10,000 Raffle will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 in the The Highlander Cafe in the Culinary Department at SHS, 81 Highland Ave, Somerville. Refreshments will be served at 6:30PM and the drawing will begin at 7:00PM. Tickets can be purchased for $100 via Venmo using this QR code.
